We started Aurora Audio because the industry kept compromising — on materials, on tuning, on longevity. We decided not to.

Why we built Aurora Audio.

In 2019, Dr. Kai Lindqvist left a decade-long career in professional audio R&D to build headphones with a single principle: no compromises in the signal chain. Every driver is hand-measured. Every ear cup is pressure-tested for 50,000 flex cycles. Every firmware update is backward-compatible to the first unit ever shipped.

The result is Aurora Audio — a focused line of four headphone models, each engineered for a specific listener. Our customers aren't chasing trends. They're buying the last headphones they'll ever need.

Chief Acoustic Engineer & Founder

Acoustic physicist with 18 years designing transducers for pro audio. Kai leads driver development and frequency calibration across all Aurora models. His rule: measure first, tune second.

Former aerospace materials specialist. Mara sources every material — aircraft-grade aluminium, vegetable-tanned leather, memory foam — for a 10-year build life, minimum.

How we work

Measurement before opinion

Every driver is characterised on a GRAS measurement rig before it enters a production unit. Subjective listening follows, never precedes, objective data.

No hidden compromises

We publish the full frequency response, THD, and impedance curves for every model. If a spec is inconvenient, we fix it — we don't hide it.

Built to be repaired

Every Aurora model uses replaceable ear pads, cables, and driver assemblies. Spare parts are stocked for a minimum of 10 years after each model launch.

Lifetime firmware support

Wireless models receive firmware updates indefinitely. We have never deprecated a model and have no plans to. Your investment compounds over time.
