How Selene was built
Villa Selene was conceived in 2014 when the island was acquired by a family who had spent two decades in high-end hospitality and arrived at a simple conclusion: the finest resorts succeed by doing less, not more. Twelve villas were designed by a single architect over three years. No two rooms are identical. Every material was sourced on the island or within the region.
We have never exceeded our capacity. We have never added a villa to meet demand. Selene opened with twelve and it will remain twelve. That decision — commercial as it may appear inconvenient — is the reason every guest finds what they came for: true quiet.
